BC Provincial Nominee Program
BC PNP Skills Immigration is made up of five streams, designed for workers and recent graduates with the skills, education and experience that are needed in B.C. Four of these streams have an Express Entry BC option.
If you have an indeterminate, full-time job offer in B.C., or if you have recently graduated from a Canadian post-secondary institution and have an indeterminate, full-time job offer in B.C., you may be eligible for Skills Immigration. If you have recently completed certain post-graduate degrees from a B.C. university, or if you are a PhD candidate in B.C., you may be eligible for nomination without a job offer.
Express Entry
- for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience
- work experience must have been gained within 3 years
- for skilled workers with foreign work experience
- must meet criteria for education and other factors
- for skilled workers who are qualified in a skilled trade
- must have a valid job offer or a certificate of qualification
Atlantic Immigration Program
- have at least 1,560 hours of working experience in the last 5 years, unless you’re an international graduate in Atlantic Canada
- have a full time, non-seasonal job offer from designated employers
- If you have a job offer at the NOC TEER 0 or 1 category, you must have a one-year post-secondary educational credential; if you have a job offer at the NOC TEER 2, 3 or 4 category, you must have a high school diploma
- meet the minimum language level of CLB 5 for TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 jobs; CLB 4 for TEER 4 jobs
Agri-Food Pilot
- have a minimum of 1 year of non-seasonal, full-time work experience in the past 3 years in the eligible occupations listed under the eligible industries
- meet the minimum language level of CLB 4
- have at least a high school diploma
Caregivers
- have a genuine full time job offer in 1 of these NOC jobs outside of Quebec, OR have at least 12 months of full-time work experience in Canada in the 36 months before you apply in 1 of these NOC jobs:
- home child care provider – NOC 44100
- home support worker – NOC 44101
- meet the minimum language level of CLB 5
- have a completed post-secondary education credential of at least 1 year
HK Pathway
- be physically present in Canada
- have valid temporary resident status in Canada
- have graduated from a post-secondary designated learning institution in Canada
- within 3 years before you apply
- with oneof the following:
- a diploma (not graduate or post-graduate) for a program of at least 2 years
- a degree (associate, bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral)
- a graduate or post-graduate diploma or certificate for a program of at least 1 year and
- with at least 50% of your program completed in Canada
- be physically present in Canada
- have valid temporary resident status in Canada
- have worked in Canada for at least 12 months full time, or an equal amount of part-time hours in the 3 years before you apply
Self-employed
Eligibility:
- have at least two years of experience during the period starting 5 years before the day you apply and ending on the day IRCC makes decision on your application. The experience must be:
- 2 one-year periods being self-employed in cultural/athletics activities, or
- 2 one-year periods participating at a world-class level in cultural/ athletics activities, or
- a combination of a one-year period described in (a), and a one-year period described in (b)
- have a minimum of 35 points in selection criteria
Family Sponsorship
You can sponsor certain relatives to come to Canada if you’re at least 18 years old and a Canadian citizen or person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act or permanent resident of Canada.
